Superintendent proposes $3.61 billion budget

The FY26 proposal is $300 million, 9% more than this year’s budget

I got to accompany Seyun Park, Editor-in-Chief of The Pitch, to cover the new budget released by Dr. Thomas Taylor, Superintendent of Montgomery County Public School. I took care of recording almost the entirety of the meeting and taking photos of key moments. This was a great learning opportunity about waiting for the perfect moment and I got to meet people whose decisions directly impacted thousands of people.
